September 21st | International Day of Peace of the United Nations
PAINTING FOR PEACE
The day of September 21st represents the International Day of Peace of the United Nations. Shaktya e. V. from Bremen, Germany, celebrates this day every year with the program Painting for Peace.
CELEBRATION FOR EVERYONE
It is a celebration for all ages in which we especially give younger people the chance to get active for peace in a very colorful manner. All children will have the opportunity to paint colorful pictures that will be used to create large landscapes of peaceful images. The program is celebrated in different parts of the world and you are welcome to participate.
PAINTING FOR PEACE 2017
Painting for Peace 2017 was celebrated in 14 different countries. Especially in Germany, India, Taiwan and Brazil large groups came together to spend time in peace and create a variety of colorful images. Among these groups were many schools and youth organizations, but also universities, working groups and sports teams. The event showed a mixture of many different cultures that share one mutual dream – The dream of a peaceful world. The video below shows how our friends from the E.M.E.F Arthur Oscar Jochims in Brazil celebrated the Peace Day.
